tablespoon
olive oil

shallot,
diced, about 2 tablespoons

clove garlic

can
tomato sauce,
15 ounces

fresh basil leaves,
1 teaspoon dried
2
sprig
fresh oregano,
1 teaspoon dried
2
sprig
fresh thyme,
½ teaspoon dried
½
teaspoon
kosher salt
⅛
teaspoon
black pepper
pinch
red pepper flakes
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Saute the shallot and garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add in tomato sauce and remaining ingredients.
Simmer 15 minutes, uncovered.
Remove from heat. Cool slightly before removing herb stems and transfering to a jar for storage.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, do not use if sauce shows mold.
