Strawberry Simple Syrup
The tasty beginning to a homemade lemonade or cocktail, this strawberry simple syrup is so easy to make! A great use for berries that are going past their prime.

Ingredients

water

granulated sugar

cups
fresh or frozen strawberries
approx. 8 ounces
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Pour through fine mesh strainer to remove strawberries. (Do not push the liquid out of the strawberries or the syrup will become cloudy.)
Cool and store in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to one month.
