    If it's candy corn season, then you know it's time to make this candy corn trail mix! It's a simple snack mix, perfect for munching. Sweet candy corn and salty peanuts are the perfect combination. Spice drops, with their warm notes, add a unique twist to this fall snack mix.

    This time of year, I enjoy making this candy corn trail mix. It's a great snack that brings back a lot of nostalgic memories and reminds me of my grandma. This family favorite candy corn mix makes an appearance at pretty much every fall party we have.

    This easy recipe is a simple mix of candy corn, peanuts, and spice drops. Some might scoff at it, but it's rather addicting!

    If you've never had candy corn mixed with peanuts, you must try it! The sweet and salty mix tastes like a Payday candy bar or Salted Nut Roll.

    The spice drops are always interesting because for some reason I can hardly ever remember which color belongs to each flavor! I do know the red are cinnamon, those are always my favorite! If you don't like spice drops, check out the list of variations below!

    Ingredients

    This candy corn snack mix recipe only requires three ingredients and absolutely no cooking! Change up the ingredients based on your preferences. Unfortunately, if you're not a fan of candy corn, you're not going to like this recipe! The candy corn and nuts are definitely the stars of the show!

    • Candy Corn: If you're gluten-free, remember to check labels on all candy you buy.
    • Cocktail Peanuts: You can substitute dry roasted peanuts or even cashews, if you prefer.
    • Spice Drops: These spicy drops are found in the candy aisle. Each color has a different flavor: peppermint, wintergreen, anise, cinnamon, orange, and clove.

    Instructions

    The best part about this salty snack mix is how easy it is to make!

    To make this simple candy corn snack mix, combine equal parts candy corn, peanuts, and spice drops together in a large bowl with your hands or a large spoon.

    Variations

    I get it, spice drops are not everybody's jam. Here's some other great candy corn mix ideas if you want to omit the spice drops! Just combine equal parts candy corn, nuts, and one or more of the options below.

    • M&M's
    • Reese’s Pieces
    • Raisins
    • Salty Pretzels
    • Chocolate chips
    • Butterscotch chips
    • Caramel corn

    Storage

    Covered Container: This candy corn party mix will last for at least two weeks, just be sure to keep it in an air tight container.

    Party Favor: This sweet treat would make a great gift when portioned out into treat bags. Hand them out as party favors at your next Halloween party!

    • 11 ounces candy corn, 1 bag
    • 16 ounces cocktail peanuts, 1 large container
    • 15 ounces spice drops, 2 bags

    Instructions
     

    • Toss candy corn, peanuts, and spice drops together in a large airtight container.
    • Store up to two weeks.

    Notes

    Variations:
    You can omit spice drops and choose other mix-in's if you prefer. Combine equal parts candy corn, nuts, and one or more of the options below.
